What am i doing here im a bass

As the blue progression is 1, 4, 5 and the minor pentatonic scale is 1, b3, 4, 5, b7 then 3 of the minor scale notes match the progression, whereas the major scale is 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 hence 2 notes match. So maybe the ratio of minor to major notes should be 3:2 or 60/40. Just a thought, and could be wrong.

The intrinsic stair pattern of guitar makes the chord tones almost endless. I sometimes wish I had an 8 string so I didn't have to feel cramped when I get past the 14th fret.

This is a great lesson. A tip to force you to try and make something musical, a phrase, utilizing just 4 notes. Otherwise beginners (like me) tend to go up and down a scale mechanically and not doing music at all. Limiting the available notes is a good trick to force the player to be inventive, musical and artistic

Another great lesson Eddie, I really like these simple few note boxes expanded over 3 octaves. Over the past few months I have found myself hanging out on a Saturday night waiting for the notification that you have dropped the next video.

Play something simple...like a A minor pentatonic. Yeah, but how are you playing that A minor pentatonic? What notes are you playing? Me, being a beginner, when you tell me to play an A minor, I'm going to play the entire scale...you know that 5 8 5 7 5 7 5 7 5 8 5 8. But you're not playing that way. You're picking out some notes to get that lick. Again, what are those notes?
